On Fingerpointing And Responsibility
Many people are often under the illusion that doctors can fix anything. For example, let’s discuss a man we will refer to as Mike. Mike is just over 110 pounds overweight.
One day he walked into a hospital not feeling well. Mike ended up undergoing many tests, which resulted in thousands of dollars worth of medical bills. All of Mike’s tests came back with normal results. He was actually disappointed that the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with him.
He left upset and blamed the doctors for not doing their job and fixing him. Mike went to other doctors trying to find the cause of his mysterious illness. Never once did he consider his weight and lack of permanent weight loss as the answer to his problem.
What Mike really needed to do was to take a look in the mirror. Mike alone held the key to his long sought after cure. Mike lacked the personal responsibility of admitting the truth to himself. He never considered that his problem came from his eating habits.
All the fast food eating he had done for years and the lack of exercise had all contributed to the way that Mike was feeling. What Mike really needed to do was admit to himself that he needed a permanent weight loss.
The moral of this story is that we are responsible for our own well being. There isn’t a doctor out there that can fix your body, when you are set on destroying it. Learn to accept the truth now, before you cause permanent illness to your body. Taking responsibility for your health choices and losing weight permanently is the best thing you can do for yourself, and no one else can do it for you!
