Consider this for a moment: If you decide to go on a crash or starvation diet to shed 10 or 15 pounds, what will happen when you begin eating again? You can’t live on these types of diets for long, and what many people experience is that it all comes back – plus more.

Over 40 weight loss is a unique problem, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. For a woman over 40, the best solution to attain and maintain a slim, toned, healthy body is to exercise smart and eat a healthy diet loaded with fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains and good fats. Does this mean you have to eat tasteless foods in tiny little portions? No! People have had the misconception for years that in order to lose weight you are resigned to eat carrot sticks and yogurt for the rest of your life, which is absolutely absurd.

Well, you won’t believe how many women write in and tell me “once I hit 40, it became almost impossible to lose weight”. There is something going on around the age of 40.
