Women Over 40- How To Lose Weight Using Healthy Ways To Lose Weight

Lose Weight Permanently Over 40

Are You Eating Unconsciously?

How much do you already know about healthy nutrition? Chances are, you know a lot- probably enough to lose weight permanently and keep it off for good.

But why do so many struggle with permanent weight loss if they already know what to do? There are many reasons for this, today I’d like to write about unconscious food choices.

Often we put something in our mouths, just because we are in the mood for it at the moment… And these little bites add up. Or we are eating high-calorie food several times a day. These meals add up even more.

Do you evaluate what you are going to eat before eating? Do you think about what you’ve had for your last meals? Often we tend to forget how much we’ve eaten.

A great tool is keeping a food diary. The easiest way to do this is to have a sheet of paper in your wallet- so you have it with you all the time. By the way: If you are looking out for a small, easy-to-carry-around pen get a Fisher Space Pen. They are stylish and write even if you find yourself all of a sudden on the moon ;-)

Before you eat something, have a look at your list and then write down what you are going to eat- including the portion size. You will find, that this decreases your unhealthy food choices and portion size.

Why does this work? When you are reviewing what is already on your list (what you have already eaten), you become conscious of what you’ve already had and how much of it. Additionally, you become aware of your eating habits.

All of this will lead you to make more healthy food choices.

Keeping a food journal is worth the the time and efford it takes. Also being conscience of this is your choice for every bite you take.
