Design an exercise routine that includes cardiovascular activity, resistance training with weights and gentle stretching moves such as those found in yoga, and you will find that after a few weeks your body is becoming slimmer and more lean. Jog, jump rope or do aerobics for 8 to 10 minutes followed by 10 minutes of squats, lunges and other moves using light hand weights. Take 5 minutes to do a few yoga moves. You really don’t need a trainer – just get moving.
Weight loss for women, especially when you are a woman over 40, can be exasperating. The answer does not lie in fad diets, diet pills or fasting – it DOES lie in a healthy lifestyle change.
