The first thing to do is to be clear about your goals. You need to know what your ideal weight is, the weight that would make you truly happy. This goal needs to be something very motivating- so make the number exciting. Then you should be clear on when you would like to have reached this goal. I agree with the fact that in order to lose weight the first thing to do is to be clear with your goal i.e. how much extra weight you want to lose. after doing that you can then focus on other aspects of weight loss.
